Observant, your evening sounds lovely! Enjoy! :)

Raesmom, you are anything but lazy -- you are exhausted! I hope you find a quiet hour for yourself this weekend. It would be very well deserved.

We got home later today than we planned after a round of various doctor appointments, so dinner tonight is a very simple Dutch baby pancake with breakfast sausage baked into it -- aka toad in the hole across the pond. ;) Our version is unconventional with lots of maple syrup and butter on top.

Inwas being lazy tonight so we had old faithful spaghetti and meat sauce with lots of fresh veggies.

Observant I'm so jealous of you lol what I would give to have even one hour to myself to kick my feet up and do absolutely nothing except what I want to do........someday........

Everyone's meals sound perfect for a cold night !
My mother was nice enough to fix spaghetti for my brother and I when she and daddy had liver & onions (but we still had to eat at the same table and smell their meal .LOL
Tonight I am being a little girl again since DH is at work I am having homemade vegetable beef soup with a peanut & honey sandwich then I am taking a bubble bath, put on my new winter PJs ; fix some sinfully rich and naughty hot chocolate, make popcorn and find a sappy (?) movie to watch or just turn on music and enjoy my Christmas tree and lights .

It's soup and sandwiches for us as well. Tomato soup with turkey sandwich melts on rye. Stay warm everyone!

    lindabates - that is funny!

Lindabates, you're take it or leave it reminds me so much of my Mom when we were kids. I can still hear her saying if you don't like it, don't eat it. Too bad. And if you were still hungry, too bad. Have a piece of bread. LOL :)

EM2S, love your blueberry pizzert. I may ask for your advice on how to cook beans in the slow cooker one of these days. I have a bag of garbanzo beans in the pantry waiting for me to cook them.

Dinner tonight... soup? I dug a small ham out of the freezer for dinner last night and served it with roasted Brussels sprouts and a noodle romanoff. Maybe tonight some of the leftover ham will morph into a corn chowder.

Cheddarwurst and fries take it or leave it.... the kids aren't very happy with the menu!

A br-r-r-y good morning! In preparation for an evening of hiberation :), overnight-cooked crockpot of beans will be used for Tuscan bean soup, turkey calzones with garlic marinara sauce, and blueberry pizzert. Wishing each of you a snuggled-in-cozy-warm night!!
