GJan, we haven't eaten dinner yet! Come on by! :)

Tonight's gnocchi is coming from a package -- DeCeccio, if I'm not mistaken. I like to save a little of the cooking water, add a chunk of butter, some garlic, and parsley, swirl everything together and it makes a lovely little sauce. I have made homemade gnocchi. Super delicious, and not difficult if you don't take the time to make the ridges. When I make it, I usually make a few half-sheet pans full and freeze it.

Faye, I like your dinner. DW, OTOH, would be saing "where's the beef?" LOL ;)

EM25- how fun... love tapas! And yes, what a beautiful day even up in the mountains!

We did leftover shrimp and asparagus pasta from last night. Nice having a night off from cooking after more home repairs/upgrades all day!

Em2s - I adore tzatziki. I bet it will be wonderful on the salmon cakes.

Have a lovely evening at the symphony, ybaverage2003!

jdouglas13 - enjoy the grilling weather while you can.....Sunday will be a very different story.

GJan1 - we can carpool to Jdouglas's dinner! LOL How nice that your grandson gets to enjoy such wonderful gnocchi.

Tonight is fend for yourself night here. I do not think the caravan will want to come by. lol There are only 2 of us here so it's an easy night of using up leftovers and veggies that need to be cooked. I'm having a baked sweet potato and roasted asparagus and mushrooms.

JDOUGLAS13 What time is dinner? LOL! I love gnocchi, even if my grandsons say I mispronounce it (their Mother is 1/2 Italian). Are you making it from scratch? The best I ever had was at Jimmy V's in Raleigh at a Mother's Day Brunch ( didn't see it on the regular menu - a shame). I would have gone back just for the Gnocchi! My grandson said said it was almost as good as his Grandmother Nona (100% Italian). God rest her soul.

YBAverage, enjoy your night out at the symphony! Sounds wonderful.

    EM2S, what a fun menu.

I am probably going to grill out again tonight. We enjoyed the skirt steak and asparagus last night. Yum! Maybe burgers tonight with gnocchi and green beans on the side.

EM2S, that is quite ambitious for a Friday !! I am going to the symphony tonight, so light dinner, probably some cheese ravioli in marinara.

Have an early outdoor tapas meal planned to seize this beautiful weather: mini-salmon cakes (past Walgreen's canned deal) with tzatziki, diced shrimp salad wrapped in lettuce (Kroger frozen shrimp deal), patatas bravas bites (Aldi potatoes deal), carrots wrapped/cooked in turkey bacon (HT deals), spinach-ricotta and broccoli-cheddar empanadas (combo of Kroger veggie and HT supper double cheese deals), plum jam pastry twists, and mini-pumpkin pie round cut-outs with whipped cream topper (99c FL-ibotta Mrs Smith's pie deal - on my way now for FL shop :). Hope each of you are able to enjoy this gorgeous, sunny day!
