RaleighFoodBlogger - I was wondering how the move went and hoped you would keep posting. We all love your menu ideas. :-) I bet your folks are really loving having you cook for them!! And I bet it is gorgeous up there....but getting a little chilly this time of year. Your Maple Dijon Chicken sounds fabulous.

ascherer - way to keep up the shrimp theme!

Raesmom- they're good. Much better w/us here, and I'm having fun. Cooking up a storm 2 meals a day for us all (we're on our own for breakfast). Amazing the views around us. Huge trees everywhere. Big change from our last urban apartment with us over restaurants... whole different world up here in the mountains :) Hope you're great, too!

No shrimp over here lol we had Salsa Fresh for lunch and it was so good! I'm still stuff as from it. Leftover pizza for the rest of the team.

How are your parents (and the mountains) RFB? I bet it's beautiful up there right now!! How your parents are doing good and good job on continuing to save!!!

Tonight is leftovers from Tony's Oyster bar. I had a groupon for it and we went last night. The leftovers include shrimp.

Eating frugally up here in the mountains, and saving a ton of money at Harris Teeter! Tonight we're eating up the last of the Crockpot Maple Dijon Chicken with roasted potatoes and corn. I bought 2 BOGO chicken breast packages from last week's sale for $15 and we used it for 17 servings (various lunches and dinners)! My folks are really impressed at how much I'm saving on food :)

I just remembered that I got some really nice yellow and red peppers from TJ the other day -- I think they were $0.99 each. We will definitely be having stuffed peppers within the next few days with rice, crispy prosciutto, spinach, parm, chicken broth, and some roasted grape tomatoes I made to put in the omelets we had for dinner last night.

No shrimp here tonight. Sorry folks. We lost it in the hurricane and it's one of the few items I haven't replenished yet.

Unless we have M&C and some kind of roasted green veg, tonight is going to be a sheet pan dinner with roasted Italian sausage and cauliflower with breadcrumbs, parm, lemon pepper, garlic, and drizzled with EVOO.

Maybe or maybe not! Tonight is up in the air. We are headed to the Raleigh Haunted Trolley ride - so maybe something around there. Not sure what is close. But if I choose shrimp I will certainly be thinking of the blog!
Last night was another quick dinner, MCDonalds for the kids and a freebie meal at the gym for me.
I have had it easy this week! Only 2 real meals :-)

miacarre - your shrimp and sides sound a lot better than mine! Thanks for sharing. :-)

Apparently it is shrimp night on the blog. Who will be the first to break the shrimp streak?
