It is starting to feel like a pizza night here. Maybe I will pick up some hamburger and do spaghetti or meatloaf over the weekend.

Great dinners everyone! I did not get a chance to grill the london broil last night so I am getting ready to make it right now. It's been marinating for over 24 hours so it should be pretty tasty.

raesmom1612 - ANY night is a good night for baked ziti!

Gator Girll - good luck with the event! The chicken salad sounds perfect.

coupon4me - great advice about pineapple recipes in the slow cooker. Thank you!

Raesmom, burgers and baked ziti are from two different planets. Enjoy the ziti! And smooches to Baby Ziti :)

Coupon4me, your menu with the beef kabobs sounds so good! I love kabobs. I also need to institute a fend for yourself night here!

GatorGirll, how are you doing these days?

EM2S, I love your home movies idea and menu. So sweet. :)

Meredith, glad you were able to take some of your garden with you!

I have no idea what's for dinner tonight. Last night ended up being M&C and broccoli. Maybe we'll have Caesar salad with shrimp since I have a couple of packages of romaine hearts again.

    Happy Friday everyone!

Last night was homemade burgers on the counter top grill pan. had lettuce, tomatoes, onions, ketchup mayo, cheese and mustard to add as they saw fit to their burgers. Picked up a small lemon pound cake at save a lot so they had a slice of that for dessert.

No idea whats for dinner tonight. I know we just had ground beef so I don't want to do that again but I am really wanting to make a baked ziti :) and have some sour cream that needs to be used up. If I make that, it will last us all weekend so no cooking for me......that might work lol

Tonight we are making zucchini pizza bites with the last zucchini I picked from our garden before we moved. We'll top them with pizza sauce, shredded cheese, peppers, onions, and fresh sliced cherry tomatoes from our tomato plants that I moved with us :-) The only dish we need is a cookie sheet so we're set!

Gator Girl - Yummy! :) Wishing you perfect weather and a successful event!!

Coupon4Me - Thanks for sharing your pineapple-crockpot experience with tip to add pineapple at end! Jalapeño pepper sounds like a great addition. Your kabobs and eggplant meal have my mouth watering!

Our last night's meal was made and chilled over the preceding night: marinated fresh veggie pasta (pasta from pantry stash) with green peas, thinly sliced Eckrich sausage (Kroger Summer game win) and feta cheese (freezer stash - former HT coupon doubles deal)... accompanied by peach-grape medley, crustini and spread (Chobani Meze Smoked Onion Parmesan cheese blended with remains of broiled salmon).
Tonight is old, home movies night. So, the coffee table becomes a short buffet of mugs of tomato-basil soup, narrow-cut dipping slices of Freschetta 4-cheese pizza ($3 HT super doubles deal), crudites with pesto and black olive-peppadew hummus, grapes, bowl of mixed nuts (CVS deal), and peach crumble-cobbler baked in foil muffin cups.

    Happy Friday to all!!

We're having a big picnic at Jordan Lake between 2 non-profit groups tomorrow and I'm in charge of the event. So I fixed some great chicken salad last night and while I prep stuff for the burgers and dogs and make a five bean salad and pickled cukes and tomatoes salad, we'll have chicken salad sandwiches and chips. EZ.

A few of you asked about the pineapples in the crockpot. Yes but I would suggest adding them at the end - maybe 30 min before you eat. You could always put some juice in at the start if you were using canned pineapple. I used fresh so threw it in the beginning. It was ok - not he best dish I have ever made. Having it for lunch today but I mixed in a jalapeño pepper to give it some kick.

Last night we did beef kabobs on the grill with peppers onions and tomatoes and some baked, breaded eggplant on the side.

Tonight will either be dinner out or a bowl of cereal or fend for yourself!!!! Happy Friday!!!!
