Meredith, there is definitely something very exciting about starting a new garden! Fresh soil and space to play in. :)

JDouglas, my only hope is that the man buying our current house appreciates the gardens we are leaving behind :-) I'll build new, bigger ones at our new house this Fall so we can still plant next spring!

Our whole house is boxed up except a suitcase of clothes per person and the kitchen. I think I may just wait and pack the kitchen the night before the move. I don't know how to live for a week without it ;-)

Half-priced food at 9:30 PM from the restaurant where I work that second job.

Yikes, Meredith, only 8 days! Around now it starts getting really tough to do much of anything without unpacking a box. What happens to your garden when you move? :(

Raesmom! Miss you girl! We need to get together when you get home. Your stuffed shells sound awesome. Thanks for the inspiration. I might make them in the next couple of days.

YBAverage, your menu sounds yummy. I will do a no-rain until 11 pm dance if that helps? The tomatoes need watering. ;)

Coupon4me, your menu sounds yummy too. Love creamed spinach!

Truth be told, I have no idea what we're having for dinner. Last night the Shrimp Cobb salad was delicious. DW was able to find Marie's thousand island dressing at HT, and it only needed a little doctoring up. In spite of all the veg, I think DW liked it too.

I do know what we're having for dessert -- homemade oatmeal cookies. Yay for the fixed oven! I got them all baked. :)

Everyone, please do a NO RAIN dance for tonight. Have friends coming over, so grilling rib eyes, roasting some potatoes and corn on the cob. Watermelon and brownies for dessert

Yesterday I made stuffed shells for the family and they were a hit!! I do mine differently then how mom does them and she said she will do them my way going forward. I brown the meat and season it up then I add the cheeses (ricotta, parm, cream cheese) and a small spoonful of sour cream to the meat and then stuff the shells and pour sauce over it and pop it in the oven. She used to add the sauce to the meat and then stuff them. NO idea what we are doing tonight. DH is on his way to come pick us up and I cant wait to get back to NC!!! Its been a long vaca. I will miss the weather out here. I see you guys have had some high heat indexes...the hottest its been out here....87 with a cool breeze coming off the lake :)

Not totally sure about dinner tonight. It's either chicken parm or buffalo chicken wontons. Sides of pasta and spinach salad.

meredith88 - I don't blame you at all. Moving and packing takes so much out of you. But I do love zucchini pizza. I may actually have that for lunch today. Thanks for the idea!

    coupon4me - nice dinner!

My husband will finally be joining me for dinner again tonight :-) The menu says we are having zucchini pizzas using the fresh zucchini out of our garden.

However it's been really nice going out every night and not having any dishes while we're in the middle of packing up the whole house so I'm very tempted to use another birthday coupon and take him out to dinner. I probably won't decide which we'll do until the very last second ;-) Moving day is only 8 days out :-/

Boneless marinated pork chops, (marinated in a Webern juice packet) creamed spinach and brown rice....cucumbers for the kiddos who won't eat the spinach.
