Hoping the weather holds out for chicken on the grill. I went to Lowe's for the $1.99 + 25% WYB $10 meat, but it turned out the price of the chicken was $1.99/lb NET. A little disappointing, but still not a bad price.

Sides are going to be fresh green beans and gnocchi with a little garlic/parsley/butter pan sauce. The last of our delicious anniversary cake for dessert. :)

Busy plans for everyone! Enjoy all!!!
Wednesday night was hot dog and fries at parents house with kiddos. Last night a neighbor made us dinner for a congrats on my new job. How nice was that?! Tonight I think parents are making burgers on the grill with who knows what sides. They have my kids again today....Boy, I have had an easy dinner week! I only cooked one night!

Tonight it's garlic shrimp on sauteed spinach and mushrooms with roasted sweet potatoes.

Have fun at the food truck rodeo, Bulls game and symphony, everyone! I hope the rain holds off for all of you.

Food truck rodeo out at the USA baseball park if the weather holds off. If not, either 1/2 price pizza from Papa John's or half off from Panera if I use their delivery. Either way, going for easy after making a TON of pasta/meatballs and tacos the past two nights.

Meredith - I love the snack ideas. I will have to do some research and see if I can take us in some veggies & dip and some cheese. That sounds a whole lot better than fries. I normally get a Chick-fil-a or BBQ sandwich at the game. DH has to have his hotdog.

Ascherer and Meredith, have fun tonight at both of your events. Both sounds like great date night ideas that I might have to steal. :)

The only meal I'm focused on at the moment is my morning coffee, which sounds like it just finished brewing....

I'm also hoping for the rain to hold off until after 10pm tonight Ascherer.

Since we went to Taco Bell earlier this week for free tacos we are going to Subway tonight to get our free subs with drink purchase from signing up for their text club last week. We're taking our subs and the rest of our picnic dinner to Koka Booth for the NC Symphony Summerfest Broadway show tonight. We were gifted the tickets so it should be a very nice, frugal date night :-) The rest of our picnic includes chips, dip, cucumbers, baby carrots, grapes, cherries, cheese cubes, bread sticks, and a couple HT chocolate eclairs. We'll be there for 4 hours so there's lots of snacks mixed in with the actual dinner.

Dinner tonight is at the Bulls game (if it doesn't get rained out).
