Thanks Meredith! For me, good ground meat means no bits of bone or other random yucky objects. (Sorry Faye, I know I'm killing you with this.)

Raesmom -- lazy? Seriously? LOL You won't be considered lazy for at least the next 18 years! Enjoy the lasagna. :)

That was indeed a sad night if you were out of mushrooms, Faye. I'll donate the mushrooms if you save me some the next time you make your veggie saute. In fact, I have some lovely baby bellas in the fridge as I type... :)

JDouglas, when I buy ground pork I get it at Food Lion or Harris Teeter. I don't know if it's "ggod" ground pork but we use it in soups and casseroles all winter long when we want more flavor than ground beef provides.

jdouglas13 - I KNOW! It was a very sad night since we were clearly out of mushrooms. lol Both the girls adore mushrooms as well so we go through so many every week...in everything!

raesmom1612 - nothing wrong with a tasty meal that you did not have to spend hours making - especially with a newborn and toddler to take care of. At least it's Friday!

ybaverage2003 - thanks for the good wishes. :-) Enjoy your burgers.

Faye, your picture of sautéed veg looks so good. I wish DW would eat squash. I could eat it like that every night.

One question though -- where are the mushrooms?? ;)

YBAverage, where do you buy your ground pork? I've thought about making homemade wontons, but wasn't sure where to get good ground pork other than Whole Foods, I always manage to forget on the rare occasion I'm shopping there.

Meredith, you have me craving pizza! LOL

Last night was supposed to be grilled steak with Caesar salad. The steak never made it out of the freezer, so we'll be having that tonight. Last night was roasted chicken drumsticks, roasted asparagus, and a wild rice blend with sautéed mushrooms.

What is everyone else doing for dinner tonight?

Faye, glad you are scheduled. Best wishes for a speedy recovery !
Tonight grilled pork burgers topped with quick pickled red onion and "coleslaw" with a vinaigrette dressing (no mayo). Think there is still broccoli in the fridge from LF's .99 sale, so will roast or grill that.

meredith88 - nothing wrong with a pizza coma or a PB&J in my book! You have had a lot going on this week and weekend. Have fun!

Our menu will sound like a broken record this weekend. Tonight I'm going straight from work to an event so I needed supper I could eat on the way so I'm having leftover homemade pizza from Wednesday night. My husband will thus be on his own for supper so he is having leftover takeout pizza from work earlier this week.

Saturday I have events to be at all day so I need to pack my lunch which will probably end up being a PB&J. My husband will be on his own for lunch so he will almost certainly also make a PB&J since it's one of his favorites.

Saturday supper I am going to a friend's bachelorette party. We are going to a nice restaurant in downtown Apex for dinner. My husband will be happy to eat more leftover takeout pizza. He never gets tired of pizza.

Then starting on Sunday our schedule calms down a little and we can menu plan a week of healthy, balance meals to recover from our pizza comas ;)

Tonight we are having teriyaki tofu, veggie egg rolls and steamed veggies. And my GB surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday. I am really looking forward to feeling good again!
