raesmom1612 - how adorable! I am sure Rae was rocking the IHOP.

Jdouglas - your dad will be so happy with his cookies. And I hope the treatment went well today.

Raesmom, Rae was adorable - thanks for the pix! :) I'm not sure what a minion is, but it took a while for me to get the whole Frozen thing too. LOL

Faye, thanks for the quiche recipe. Sounds yummy and healthy. I think you're doing a great job balancing a healthy eating plan with a few carbs here and there. I vote for blueberry too. Tomorrow will be the baking marathon for my Dad, and I think I'll make some blueberry scones for my sweet wife for being such an amazing patient all week.

Just got back from our scary face pancake adventure. Rae had a blast. She was in her minion costume and yall woulda thought she was the ambassador of Halloween! She was waving to everyone and wishing them a happy Halloween walking up to random babies and talking like a minion and making them laugh.....such the presidential candidate lol Glad we went when we did. Got there at about 545, no line no wait at all. By the time we left about 630....there was a 30 minute wait time!!!

Jdouglas - the quiche clickable link does not appear to work but you can copy and paste it.

jdouglas13 - YAY for baked ziti!! Sorry about your steak getting rained out last night.

So far I have made blueberry muffins because my youngest indicated she STRONGLY preferred the blueberry to the pumpkin. lol Not a problem. I love blueberry muffins...especially with pumpkin cream cheese!!

I am making the quiche tomorrow instead (or later tonight to enjoy tomorrow). My youngest went to the football game before dinner and my oldest wanted shrimp and already defrosted it and ate it (already cooked) while I was out walking. Love it when they can make dinner themselves! I am going to have some of the shrimp on a salad with a little oil and vinegar dressing.

Regarding the quiche, here is the crustless quiche recipe I am using (not eating as many carbs these days despite the blueberry muffin baking lol). I found the recipe on cookinglight.com. I'm using mushrooms and green peppers instead of broccoli:

Get ready for it.... Baked Ziti! :) Salad on the side, maybe.

Let's hope I can cook it so it's edible tonight. My track record this week is truly pathetic. Last night's victim was what should have been a very nice steak had it not started raining when I went to turn on the grill.

I'm kind of getting used to just having side salads for dinner... :p

Ascherer, I'll have the eggplant parm and tuna casserole please! :)

Faye, did you make the quiche? I'm asking because if you did, did you have to prebake the crust before you added the filling? For the life of me I can't remember how to make one and it's easier to ask then hunt down a recipe at the moment.

All the dinners and plans tonight sound like lots fun !
No IHOP or grandkids for me today - they have other plans :(
GarnerToy - I did not get around to wishing to wishing you " HAPPY BIRTHDAY "
I hope you had a Lovely day with those you love .

Thanks Faye, cant wait to hang out with my little Minion tonight.

Also don't forget (for all you Chipotle lovers) get a $3 boo-rito from 5pm-close tomorrow by adding something that doesn't belong with your costume (a princess with a sword, a pirate with a tutu for example) just got a text from Chipotle for this one.

RaleighFoodBlogger - I cannot wait to see the new Jurassic Park! May have to rent it this weekend and have movie night as well! Great idea.

Pepper2 - good call on the pumpkin muffins!

Raesmom - have fun at IHOP!

All these dinners sound delicious! And Raesmom- so fun on the IHOP pancake! We're having a movie night (the new Jurassic Park on PPV) with honey bbq crock pot chicken over rice with broccoli. And then later popcorn and hot chocolate (nothing better than sweet and salty!)
