Momoffi, LOL - I know I will love it. Selling it to DW is something else again, especially with the kale in it!

Jdouglas13- I have tried that recipe and it's soooo good. I'm sure you're gonna like it too.. DH said it's too healthy for him. Lol.

I found a recipe on Earthbound Farm's website today that I am looking forward to trying soon. Also, if you go to their website and sign up, they will send links for coupons quite often.

It's spaghetti with baby kale, sliced chicken, capers, sundried tomatoes, and parm. Sounds yummy, even as room temperature leftovers. Here's the link for the recipe:

Both girls have plans so DH and I are going to the Cheesecake Factory with a gift card that my parents gave us for our 20th anniversary back in July :)

lindabates - congrats on the new puppy! I hope he is better behaved than the beagle my parents adopted when I was in college. lol

NEW PUPPY!!! Aw, congrats!! Nothing better than a new puppy :)))))

Dinner last night was beef stew over gnocchi. It was actually kind of tasteless. Maybe I should have let it have a rest in the fridge overnight before we ate it. I think I will reincarnate the leftovers, when we have them, into stroganoff over noodles and add a bunch of mushrooms, fresh parsley, and sour cream. Maybe a little sauteed tomato paste too. That always adds a ton of flavor.

We also have a leftover white pizza with proscuitto. I think that may go into the freezer, because I'm leaning towards M&C with roasted broccoli tonight.

Great reminder, ThomasG about the grapefruit interaction. There are many meds it doesn't play nice with. I haven't been able to have grapefruit in forever.

THOMASG- what an interesting idea in smoothies- love it! And thanks for the interaction reminder- I've read it can conflict with certain meds, but I didn't realize vitamins, too. Good to know!

LINDABATES- how exciting on your puppy! And what an awesome husband you have to do something so sweet. Does your new pup have a name yet?

RALEIGHFOODBLOGGER - grapefruit is very good in smoothies , dehydrated and tossed in salads . It gives a nice "tang" to ham and chicken dishes too.
WARNING: you may need to check with a pharmacist or your doctor about how much grapefruit is safe to eat (and when) if you are taking choleterol lowering drugs and some vitamins/supplements
