Losltp - Thanks for the advice. There is a couple of spots I am watching. If they are not looking much better after my shower tomorrow, I will go see someone.

ASHERER I am so sorry you had a battle with "scratch cat" !! CLEAN the wounds very very well ( hot water and antibacterial soap even if it is dish soap -wash for an extended period of time ) . Old reliable Bactine is a great spray wound cleanser and protector - it might be worth getting a bottle tonight . If you have any extreme pain, redness and puffiness tomorrow find a doctor/minute clinic/urgent care ASAP - it can get seriously bad really fast .there are some very good "travel" vets in the area - Dr.Batone is one but not sure if he still practices. He is so kind to the animals they sense his caring immediately . He did a wonderful job on my dog when he needed surgery .I will see if I can get you more names tomorrow .

DINNER - Treat yourself to something out - you should after the day you had !

Faye - I may think about that mobile vet service after today. I was not bit but did get really scratched up. Some are pretty deep. I'll keep an eye on them to make sure they don't get infected.

jdouglas13 - great idea to use the bread for pizza. I will probably do that next week.

ascherer - oh no! I hope you are ok. If you were bit you may need antibiotics. There are some mobile vet services that may be able to come to your house and care for them. But I imagine it is expensive.

Losltp - You are an awesome Momma Kitty.

I wish I had a head to toe suit of amour after this. I learned that a kitty that doesn't want to be picked up sure as heck doesn't want to go in a carrier. I have the battle scars to prove that! Needless to say, that kitty didn't make it to the Vet and the other kitty has yet to be seen today. If I ever stop bleeding, I will cook dinner.

I forgot about the ciabatta bread. I got a RC the other day, but would really have preferred the bread. I'm going tomorrow for the water deal, so fingers crossed that they'll have some.

The ciabatta bread split in half longways also is a great base for homemade pizza, especially if it is spread with some EVOO and garlic powder, and lightly toasted under the broiler first.

Losltp, I'm glad The Princess is as food motivated as she is so that I don't have to wrestle her to take her allergy meds. I can't imagine trying to do it with a cat! I hope Bad Kitty is feeling better very soon.

losltp - I hope your little guy is feeling better soon. Sounds like he is getting some great TLC from you.

RFB - that sounds like a great use of the bread. I got 2 loaves and froze one immediately to use in the next couple weeks.

Faye- thanks for the ciabatta bread reminder! I was able to finally get some today, and I think we'll do chicken sandwiches.

Some good meal ideas everyone ! Pizza is sounding good ...
jdouglas13 - Shrimp sounds perfect - some on a "loaded" salad would be good today
Thanks - I f the animal is here and I can not find it a home elsewhere I have to take care of it it is the only choice .
Poor little "Bad Kitty" is very sick - head and chest "cold" almost pneumonia - I am anxiously waiting for the antibiotic shot to work ( greatest invention EVER BTW - no more wrestling to get medications in them !! ) .
I have spoon fed him his meals the past 2 dys ( not very successfully ) & given him water by syringe every few hours ( that went better) I am fixing him "chicken soup" for lunch ( chicken stock with bits of chicken) . I can not believe how fast he got sick and I feel like I should have known sooner :(

raesmom1612 - oops. Forgot what day it was. lol

Tonight we are having chicken breast slices on salad again with a side of ciabatta bread (free at HT SD). We also have leftover pasta if anyone wants it.

Good luck with the cats, Ascherer!!
