RFB, I totally agree with you. There is no easy part of moving, but I do hope all goes as smoothly as possible. Sometimes I think it's all in the prep. Our last move was pretty awful. DW was trying to do all the packing herself. We brought someone in to do an estate sale to unload as much stuff and raise as much cash as we could. The carpeting had to be replaced and we had to rip the old stuff out ourselves. The icing on the cake was I was in a wheelchair. The only thing I could do to help was to sit on the floor and pull staples out of the carpet padding. Glad that's behind us!

Faye - that sounds fun. Enjoy!

Raesmom, hope your grilled cheese is WAY better! Leave off the mayo and I guarantee it will be!

Faye- what a fantastic menu! And I agree. Their BBQ is one of my favorite things of all time!

And we're not at moving day quite yet, but even the prep is a lot. Hopefully when moving day rolls around it will be much easier this time :)

Raesmom- thank you!! :-) And lol on the pickles.

Nanny13- thanks for the recipe link. Everything about that recipe sounds delicious!

Tonight a couple girlfriends are coming over so I am serving some light summer foods including turkey and provolone mini sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls, big veggie tray, red pepper hummus, salsa, tortilla chips, raspberry sorbet and sparkly drinks. :-)

Jdouglas - the mayo/grilled cheese sounds like it was a definitely thumbs down. Thanks for the warning.

RFB - good luck with the move. Mellow Mushroom sounds perfect on moving day....or any day. lol

Thanks to everyone for sharing their meals today!

Going to try a new recipe tonight - Chicken Breast with Pancetta Cream and Peas. Not sure abou the side but likely will be rice. Maybe a nice crusty bread to go with that and some fruit. Here is the link the to recipe.

Target frozen turkey breast bought on sale at .99/lb a while back. Cooking in the crock pot now. Not sure the exact sides to go with it yet but I know there will be gravy!

Jdouglas- thanks! We're making progress... :-) And interesting on the mayo. I've always wondered myself, but it did sound odd.

RFB, moving week is all about takeout. Enjoy the break from cooking -- you deserve it! I hope the move goes smoothly and that your new home is back to normal soon.

So I had read somewhere a while back to spread the outside of bread with mayo when making grilled cheese sandwiches. In theory, it sounded like a good idea. Much easier than spreading hard butter on soft bread. In reality, not so much. I tried it last night and we ended up with burned, nasty tasting sandwiches that had me up sick most of the night. Just say no to mayo on grilled cheese! :p

Tonight I'm hoping for boneless chicken breasts on the grill. Sides TBD.

This week has been really busy, so... we're having leftover Mellow Mushroom for dinner! Not the healthiest of eating this week, but the multiple trips moving stuff up and down stairs is helping make up for it all :-)

Grilling turkey burgers (ground turkey on sale at Lowes Foods) topping with coleslaw (using a vinaigrette instead of mayo). Chips on the side.
