losltp - I have had sorbet many times and love it - just never made it myself. Thanks for the tips!

And the Brunswick stew was great - so was the slaw!

raesmom1612 - looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Raesmom1612 -Wishing you the BEST Birthday Weekend !!

  • losltp Apr 24, 2015

    All Welcome !
DH is working so it is "do what I want" night (lol)
Faye your dinner out sounds divine - we have not had brunswick stew in a while -
I do have some leftover pork to "up-cycle" into a new meal soon .
Faye - sorbet is fruit ice - for lack of better word ( not ice cream because it has no or minimal milk or dairy product ).
It is ice , fruit(s) and sugar/sweetner to taste ( with fresh, local berries this may not be necessary ) , little milk/cream if desired ( did not use in strawberries).
I blended all in my Vitamix following instuctions I can't wait to try other fruits - pineapple, peaches , .....

WILDFRENCHROSE- both sound great! But, now I'm craving a Greek salad!

Raesmom- sounds delicious! And YAY on gourmet buffet tonight :)

  • raesmom1612 Apr 24, 2015

Yesterday was like a min thanksgiving at our house (minus the turkey) We had a honey glazed ham, baked beans, potato salad, biscuits and dressing (stuffing) that I double wrapped in foil from thanksgiving......It was awesome, but I had to limit myself to one tiny serving bc of this whole new lifestyle change :)

Tonight is gourmet buffet and I'm off from cooking until Tuesday!!! Cant wait til tomorrow!!!!
