Tonight we are having crab cakes, rice, and Caesar salad. Crab cakes and lettuce on sale at Food Lion today. Possibly making fudge for dessert and to share with neighbors. :-)

Dr D - sounds like a fun cookie recipe!

Raesmom - I've e-mailed the recipe to you. If you have any energy left afterwards, let us know what you tried and how it went. :-)

RAESMOM, are you looking for a sugar cookie recipe for rolling out and cutting into shapes for decorating? Or just a regular sugar cookie recipe? I have one for rolling, cutting, and decorating that I always used when our girls were young. It includes oatmeal, which makes tasty and sturdy cookies. Talk about a mess in the kitchen though! I'd make a double batch and it was pretty much an all-day deal, from mixing, rolling, baking, cooling, icing, and cleaning up. We'd break out the cake decorating bags and tips, and mix up an assortment of icing colors. Those were the days ...

Dinner tonight might be leftover ham, but I'm pushing for pasta maybe shrimp scampi with spaghetti. Maybe bread and salad for sides. We'll see.

Raesmom anytime is a good time for Christmas cookies. :) What kind of sugar cookie are you looking for -- a drop cookie or a roll out and cut cookie? You might find something on my Pinterest page that works.

I know Christmas is over, but Rae and I are not ready to say goodbye, does anyone have a tried and true sugar cookie recipe that they are willing to share? The few that we tried were not that great. Thanks :)

Tonights dinner will be left over baked ziti, with cupcakes, sweet potato pie, and cheesecake as dessert
