We had snow crab, crusty rolls and green salad all courtesy of the new Publix. Not the most frugal, but a special Halloween meal was requested and I had money left in the October grocery budget :)

I do have some traditional clothing from home which I wear on special occasions and our freedom day (just celebrated on 9 Oct).
DH is going as a hunter since I didnt think going in our "birthday suite" as he called it was appropriate, especially for the youth pastor lol
I'm still undecided for myself lol.

nakabi - I am laughing out loud at your "Native African" clothing comment! That is hilarious! Do you have some traditional "Native African" jeans and t-shirts from when you lived in Africa? lol

Your decorations sound awesome! Can't wait to hear about Mr. N's attire for the evening. :-)

    Thanks for the suggestions! !!
Faye- Wild Kratts ( a tv show about animals) is big.at our house so I'm going to do a "safari" theme. Ive gotten grass clippings from outside for the ground, got a couple large rocks, a few tree branches, and some vines. I'm going to use the stuffed animals we have (with 4 kids we pretty much have all the animals lol) and place them in the velt (what we call the grasslands. And velt is pronounced "felt") the lions will go on the rock, monkeys in the tree, and so forth. DH wants he and I to go "native African" lol...ummmm honey you do realize we wear clothing in Africa right???? Lol

Such creative car decorating ideas! Let us know what you and up doing Nakabi.

Tonight's dinner is also up in the air for us. Depends on multiple factors which have not yet fallen into place. I do wish there was a Chipotle somewhere around here, though. We may have borrowed your idea, Raesmom.

granof20 - that sounds like so much fun! Love your spooky dishes.

We did the window cling idea using contact paper type vinyl -cutting out our own shapes !
Do not use stickers unless they are repositionable - you will be scraping windows until Christmas !lol
Dinner tonight - neighborhood Halloween party in neighbor's barn - I am taking fried "critters" ( chicken ) , "finger" beans ( little wieners/sausages in baked beans ) ,"hairy" slaw and cupcakes

NAKABI - I saw a picture of one my Uncle did. It was a black tarp with pumpkins and gourdes at different heights with orange bags of candy for the kids. The pumpkins were not carved. Think of all the pumpkin pies and cookies you can get from that.

Nakabi you could put stuffed animals hanging half out of the windows /trunk ( I used an old stuffed doggie toy - the dog cried all night ) . window clings are nice too ( saw them at Lowes hardware 60% off ,grocery stores , Dollar Tree and Walmart recently ) . My hubby got a broken glass one years ago and frecked out his co-worker by putting it on his new truck windshield
