    Happy Birthday, Ascherer!!!

Raesmom- wow, that sounds amazing... love ribs! And have a fun weekend at the beach- what a fantastic way to celebrate Mother's Day!! :-)

Jdouglas- that sounds good, too! Any tips for a fantastic egg salad? I do the standard, and add a pinch of dried dill. But, would love to hear your take!

Tonight is homemade pizza night. Popcorn and a movie later.

Egg salad, homemade cream of broccoli soup, and chocolate pudding for DW. Spaghetti with meat sauce for me out of the reincarnated mince from yesterday. Maybe a salad too. It feels like forever since I've had a green vegetable.

RFB, your nicoise salad sounds yummy!

WFR, I hear you about non-couponers. Sometimes when I go up to the folks, they hand me a shopping list and expect me to be able to get it for at least half off like I do at home. They just don't get that it doesn't work that way. Getting to that point takes some time and planning. I keep saying buy stuff in quantity when it's on sale with a coupon, but the response is, "but what am I going to do with 4 extra boxes of pasta".

Wildfrenchrose- lol... bad non-couponers! :-) And they were the Peloponnese Olives BOGO for $2.99 at HT- I got the Kalamata. But, I think I saw some green varieties on sale as well. And they should have some smaller cans of sliced ones, too. And remember, if you only need a few, you could always hit up the olive bar.

And... wow, I just realized I put green onions instead of green beans (from Sam's Club) below for my nicoise side salad. Up way too early working... need sleep!!! :-)

What olives, and what is the sale price? Need sliced green olives for tomorrow. Non-couponers expecting me to provide food for a last minute, constantly changing menu is gonna give me an ulcer!

Tonight is our "meatless Monday" so we're having veggie burgers using potatoes, carrots, spinach, whole wheat bread crumbs, plus some herbs and spices. And I still have a ton of French Green Onions left from San's Club, so I will steam them and use in a nicoise salad on the side (minus the tuna) using hardboiled eggs, tomatoes and the olives that are on sale at HT.
