Ascherer, thanks so much for your good thoughts about my Dad. They are very much appreciated! :)

Nakabi, I'm glad you are enjoying kale so much. I would put it in everything if I could - yum.

RFB, I have a tomato-raisin chutney recipe for you that is so good. It sounds very weird, and if I had not had it in a restaurant first, I would never have thought I'd like it. If you like, I can post it when I get back.

Congrats to all you March lovebirds!

Nakabi- thank you so much for explaining it more! It sounds like chutney is very versatile (like you wrote), and love that in this version you are using some of my favorites including ginger and anise!

    Enjoy your dinner!! :-)

RFB-yes, when I make chutney I add spices. For this one I will use chopped fresh peaches, cilantro, a little garlic, ginger root, lime, chopped red onion cumin, anise, paprika, cinnamon, and S&P. You have to make sure you don't overspice since you want the flavours of the peaches and cilantro to be the main ingredients. Chutneys are easy to make and every versatile! I sometimes add chile chipotle to it for some extra fire.

Raesmom- yes, March is a great month... new beginnings for Spring :-) Congrats to you too!

Carelesswhisper- hope you enjoy them! Love that mangoes are still on sale, too!

Nakabi- your menu sounds great. I was wondering what else you add to your chutney. Do you add spices so its more of a sweet and savory? I've always wanted to try it, but wasn't sure how to balance the flavors.

jdouglas-if you read this, you have me hooked on kale! Love it!

Tonight we are having RFB's steak sandwiches with bacon jam, asparagus that I got at Lowes on sale that needs to be used up, and fries.
