    The Nahunta outlet is only open Wednesday to Saturday. They have regular and hot sausage. Sometimes they have really good specials and of course you can get a whole hog there for pig pickins if you desire. I believe the regular price for the sausage in the 1 pound pack is $2.99 and the 4 pound pack is about $10. They also sell the link sausage, smoked sausage and lots of other pork products.

    Thanks for the tip on the sausage, Scoutmom. I'll have to pick some up next time I'm at the Farmers' Market. I've been wanting to get there anyway to buy some rendered lard from one of the vendors in the upper row of stores.

    Raesmom, your cupcakes sound good! Wonderful to hear that Rae is doing better. Maybe she'll be up to helping! ;)

    Faye-Unfortunately, it isn't as elegant as it sounds :). It's a recipe from my husband's youth when he was raised by his bachelor father. You take hamburger buns and place them inside up on a cookie sheet. Lightly spread butter on each bun. Take flaked imitation crab (I'm sure you could use real crab to make it more palatable to adults) and place approximately 1/4 of a cup on each bun. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle lightly with seasoning salt. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes. I often put them under the broiler for about a minute at the end of the baking time.

    My little baby girl has gotten The Character of the Month for Integrity! YAY! Along with her certificate she was given a free meal to Texas Roadhouse, so we are taking her to celebrate. It's a splurge for us but we all deserve it every now and then!

    im with jdougls, nothing exciting over at our house this week. Beef stew monday, Left over beef stew tuesday, chicken leg quarters wednesday, spaghetti yesterday and leftover spaghetti tonight. Rae is better and we have a small birthday party to go to tomorrow so we are going to make cupcakes tonight for the party tomorrow YAY!!!

    I think dinner tonight will be spaghetti & meatballs. Ground beef was on sale a few weeks back and had a coupon for the spaghetti. My husband loves the leftovers for work.

    JDouglas, the best sausage I have had locally if from Nahunta at the state farmer's market. I usually stock up my small freezer when I go out there.

    Dinner around here this week has been too boring to post for the most part. Last night was French toast with the Wright's breakfast sausage that was on sale during SD at HT. It's the second time I've made that sausage, but I was disappointed in it both times. We both thought it was pretty tasteless and rubbery.

    Tonight is leftover pot roast from earlier in the week. The leftover mashed potatoes will be reincarnated into the potato cakes I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. I have some green beans to use up too from Lowes recent $0.99/lb sale.

    I think it's time for a good dessert!
