Strawberries

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas for what to make with all the great deals you have bought on sale recently.

What's on your menu tonight?

Thanks raesmom! She had a great birthday! The Yummi Japan was very very yummy AND also meant I had a night off from cooking! :-)

Meredith - good luck finishing up the remodel!

Making one of my favorite salads from foodtv.com Steak on sale from Food Lion, tons of cheddar cheese left from the buy 2 get 3 from HT, and the rest are pretty inexpensive ingredients, too! Yum! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/melissa-darabian/warm-steak-and-potato-salad-recipe/index.html

We are eating well tonight to prep for 2 solid days of finishing the kitchen remodel this weekend :) Tonight is steaks that I got on markdown at Food Lion last week for only $1 a steak. I am marinading them in a Jack Daniels marinade bag that was free at a HT SD about 6 months ago. I am roasting potatoes from our garden on the grill with some spices and we'll grill some fresh squash and zucchini from Kroger this week. Finally some grilled peaches for dessert. I'm glad we've finally learned how to cook an entire meal on the grill!

Tonight it is Japanese food takeout for my daughter's birthday. It's her favorite food but the restaurant is so small that most people do takeout there. But it tastes great! Having ice cream cake at her request as well.
