jdouglas - glad you made it to your mom's safe and sound. I am sure it is comforting to her that you are there.

The chicken stroganoff was soooo good. I used a can of the Progresso recipe starters sauce in the basil flavor that I added to the slow cooker in the last 30 minutes. I also mixed some of the Italian dressing that the chicken and mushrooms cooked in with some flour to thicken the gravy. It was delicious poured over the noodles.

    How was the pizza, astamper?

That is a very sad story, Oxy.

PS - Faye, every time you mention the chicken stroganoff in the slow cooker, it sounds so good and I wish I had already bought the slow cooker. I just can't commit yet to the one I've almost chosen.

OK, since I've been confused about what day it is all week, I just posted our dinner in last night's post.

I made vichysoise for my Mom who can't eat anything solid these days. My sister is making a shrimp and pasta salad for her, me, and my Dad. My DW is having a sandwich which thankfully doesn't involve using the stove! ;)

Lucky you Faye. My husband doesn't eat melon of any kind so I almost never buy watermelon.

    Tonight, it's leftovers from yesterday.

Good luck with the weather and the crowd tonight, steph!

We are having chicken stroganoff in the slow cooker (going to put the chicken in now), egg noodles, steamed carrots and watermelon. I think we eat watermelon 5 nights a week in the summer! lol

We are going to the fireworks in Garner tonight (weather permitting) & taking a picnic supper. Hot dogs, chips, brownies, & drinks.
