Sounds to me like her teenage daughters decided to fight back on some discipline. And since kids know they can scream child abuse for discipline that THEY think too harsh, well.....I won't be so quick to jump on the bandwagon that mom was 100% at fault here. Sorry.

I don't understand why we waste monies and time to write laws that aren't worth the paper written on and Judges that want do their jobs. The only winners in the Judicial System are the most cruel, vial humans as we so often see and read about. Many are repeat offenders still permitted to do their evil harm. The Judge should add to their posted bond that the said person will need to work off their bond in full and set a timely payment date. If not paid in full, additional fines and time added to debt. If they keep busy working then maybe they can relieve some of the anger and stress resulting in less time to get into trouble. Do away with "Get Out Of Jail Free Cards"!!!!!!!

I don't get the system of setting bonds. I've seen some people who take someone's money get a huge bond (which they should). But, here is someone who seriously injured a child and she gets a $2,000 bond? I don't get it.

"misdemeanor child abuse" is an oxymoron.
