Weekly Wrap: Elections give way to session

— The primary is over, and lawmakers are set to return to Raleigh next week for the "short" session of the General Assembly.

House Speaker Thom Tillis will have to juggle his legislative duties with his U.S. Senate campaign, and issues from teacher pay to coal ash will be on the agenda.

    They should make a law that requires all campaign signs to be taken down within one week after an election or else expect a hefty fine for everyday after that they are still standing per sign. These signs amount to nothin more than litter on the side of the road. Terrible eye sores!

    I believe every reporter should disclose their political beliefs and party affiliations.
