Thanks to a week of Harris Teeter triple coupons, I was able to save a total of 83% for all my groceries this week, including produce, dairy and meat!
Here are my weekly shopping totals for the week of 9/11 - 9/17/13. They include how much I would have spent without sales and coupons, how much I saved and how much I actually spent. How did you do this week?
Subtotal before sales and coupons: $484.27
Total saved: $401.69
Total paid: $82.58
This was a big week for savings because of Harris Teeter triple coupons! It is definitely not normal for me to take home this much product, but I am well stocked on many products we use often like bread, bagels, soup, tortillas, rice, Green Giant veggies, Kraft Fresh Take, Lysol, pasta, tofu, Ivory and so much more. I am sure the food bank will enjoy some of these deals as well.
My weekly budget is $80/week so I was $2.58 over last week. It was worth it to get all the goodies at HT triples though!
I made 5 trips to Harris Teeter this week to hit the triples deals. Luckily, I had functions or appointments in Cary and Raleigh multiple days so I didn't make special trips just to go to Harris Teeter (other than the first day). I also shopped at the local produce stand down the street, Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens and Walmart last week. Once again, my husband bought some soda at Dollar General.

To figure out the percentage you saved:
Take the total amount saved divided by the total amount before sales and coupons.
