Walmart - there are no school supply deals listed in the ad this week.  They did announce a new rebate program for teachers starting 7/25.  Here are the details:

Walmart is offering a great new way for teachers to save on school supplies from July 25 - 31, 2014! They can get a 10% rebate on items for the classroom!

Here's how it works according to the Walmart website:

1. K-12 teachers can visit a Walmart store to purchase classroom supplies in the Stationary and Craft Departments between July 25 and July 31.

2. After making the purchase, go to to register the receipt by August 15th.

3. Within 2 weeks, receive a 10% savings eCard via e-mail. This eCard is probably a Walmart e-gift card and can only be used in Walmart.

This offer is valid only in stores, not online. Offer limited to a maximum of $10,000 per transaction. The offer excludes items in toys, sporting goods, apparel, electronics, and additional departments so be sure to read the fine print on their website.

claytonsaver - thanks for your comments. :-) I'll see what I can find out about any specials at the new store. Welcome back!

Thanks Stephanie for the update on the White Oak Staples. Any chance there are any Grand Opening specials? And a second your comment Faye that I wish it was a Harris Teeter!
Nice job Faye on the news and thanks for posting this list as I have been out of town.

Stephanie - good to know. I almost went today on the way back from Raleigh but decided I had too much to do to stop at Staples. Glad I didn't waste the time. And for the record, I wish it was a Harris Teeter they had built next to Target and not a bigger Staples. ;-)

Hope you have a nice time out of town! And there will be plenty more school supply deals all through August so you didn't miss them all.

I went to Staples (White Oak) around lunchtime today, only to be turned away at the door. They will be open tomorrow (Friday) at their new location near Target.

Guess I waited too late to get their best deals, since I will be out of town starting tomorrow morning, and I won't be near another Staples before then. Darn it! :-)
