Turkey sausage and veggies

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

On the menu at my house this week, you will find:

Tuesday (AKA Meatless Day After Monday): Teriyaki tofu with zucchini, red peppers and onions on rice (and watermelon if there is any left over)

Wednesday: Butterball turkey sausage with sauteed mushrooms and onions on rolls and a side of steamed carrots

Thursday: Celentano cheese ravioli with pasta sauce and parmesan, garlic bread, steamed broccoli

Friday: Salmon burgers, rolls, pasta salad with veggies and cantaloupe

    JDouglas13- Spray a casserole dish w cooking spray. Cook/ drain egg noodles, then layer the noodles in dish with ham and cheese of choice, mix in some cream of chicken soup and veggies in you like them top with some more cheese and breadcrumbs or French fried onions- if you like them, cover and bake a while. Uncover to brown top and enjoy!

    We ended up having the cheese ravioli, garlic bread and steamed broccoli tonight.

    RFB - those chicken salad lettuce wraps sound amazing!

    raesmom1612 - How funny. I don't know if I have ever had manwich. You know I have a thing with ground beef, so..... lol And yay on the cheesecake!

    ascherer - how nice of the strawberry lady to fill the bag for you.

    zoedentist - my kids don't do Brussels sprouts either. :-)

    We had sloppy joes!! Haven't had those since DH and I first got married (almost 10 yrs ago!!) I don't know what possessed me to buy a can of manwich last grocery trip, but after tonight's body attack class I'm glad I had it on hand for a quick meal tonight :) left over (dare I say) cheesecake for dessert!!!!

    Tonight is last night of "clean out Momma's fridge night" and I am the only one left in the house. It is a gourmet meal of beanie weenies (a can for pork and beans with two cut up hot dogs), cheddar bacon tator tots, and a side salad. Dessert is a strawberry chocolate milkshake. Everything but the strawberries came out of the fridge or freezer. I bought a large basket of strawberries today at the farmers market. The lady just kept adding more strawberries to the bag. It was almost closing time and she didn't want to take any home.

    Quiet here so maybe a rare dinner for 2 tonight -
    roast beef, mashed potatoes and sugar peas .
    fresh baked pineapple upside down cake
    Rump Roast - sale late summer last year froze in a Food Saver bag ; potatoes - Just Save sale $2.77 /10lb bag ) , peas - fresh from the garden. pineapple Food Lion sale that ends today

    Jdouglas- Beets are amazing raw- very fresh and somewhat sweet tasting. I have some disposable gloves that I use when I cut them on my mandoline. Plus I cover my cutting board well with parchment paper, as they do make quite a mess, otherwise! But, it's worth it :-)

    RFB, I'm right there with you about roasting brussels sprouts. It's the only way to go! LOL I tried broccoli on the grill recently and it was crazy good! Even DW ate it, which, as you know, is saying something. :) Also, I didn't know you could eat beets raw? I'll have to try it. Do they still stain your hands red when they are raw?

    Faye, I may borrow your ravioli menu for tonight. A little good pasta would really hit the spot, and I have LOADS of reg. parm with which to top it. We have watermelon too, but I have to cut it up.

    Lindabates, your ham/cheese/noodle casserole sounds really good! How do you make it?

    DR D- me too! I prefer them raw. They're so delicious grated up with some shredded red cabbage and a spicy citrus dressing :-)

    Monday was bacon wrapped hotdogs w tater tots
    Tonight- Taco Tuesday
    Wednesday- Leftover night
    Thursday- Ham, cheese and egg noodle casserole, green beans and texas toast
    Friday- Drive thru night...I have to take the girls to stay at my moms cause I have to work Saturday.
    Saturday- Dinner out with my mom and the girls after work
    Sunday- Crockpot bbq chicken, crockpot mac n cheese, crockpot baked beans and home made biscuits
