Pumpkin French Toast

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like.

If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

Here are the meals we will be eating this week:

Chicken tacos with all the veggie and sauce toppings, rice, peaches

Shrimp fettuccine with spinach and parmesan, garlic bread, salad

Veggie chicken sandwiches, sweet potato fries, green beans

Breakfast for dinner: Pumpkin French Toast, scrambled eggs, veggie sausage, fruit (I found wheat bread at Kroger marked down to .59 per loaf last week and eggs are only .99 per 18 count when you buy 3 through 9/13)

I made carrot cake cupcakes Sunday night so we will be enjoying those for dessert a few nights this week.

Friday: Gourmet buffet/fend for yourself night!

Tonight we had mini meatloaf "cakes" with mashed potato "frosting" and green pea "sprinkles" so good and so cute too, thanks for the idea (a long time ago) RFB!!!!

That's as far as I've gotten with a menu for this week. Jdouglas mentioned Alfredo so I might do that one day, Faye mentioned eggs so I might try this breakfast for dinner thing yall speak of so much (any ideas?? I'm so not a breakfast person, breakfast for me is cereal lol) and maybe some BBQ pork chops another day with mac and cheese and broccoli. Gourmet buffet one night and maybe tacos or old faithful spaghetti with garlic bread on the last day......I guess I had a menu after all lolololol

YBAverage, meatball subs sound really good! I'll have to make some for the freezer.

Not the most appetizing menu here tonight. I had some Greek yogurt that was use it or lose it. I'm honestly not sure if it was good or not. I'm marinating some boneless chicken breasts in it with some fresh rosemary and will grill it. Sides will be salad with leftover homemade croutons and bacon bits along with whatever assorted veg, and maybe some rice. I'm also hoping to get a couple of Italian plum and almond coffee cakes in the oven this afternoon.

Last night's dinner was supposed to be pasta alfredo with grilled blackened chicken, but by the time I was ready to cook, it was really dark out. We ended up with rigatoni alfredo with baby peas and garlic. It's been a while since we had anything alfredo, so I enjoyed it.

meredith88 - only a few more weeks til your washer and dryer arrive! I suggest something with eggs for your menu this week since they are such a superb price right now at Aldi and Kroger through Tuesday.

I'm much less with-it this week so I have no idea what we're having for dinner tonight. One night this week we will have pulled pork BBQ with homemade slaw and tater tots. Otherwise I am looking for ideas of what to eat. Tonight might be packed PB&J sandwiches and chips waiting outside the laundromat. We'll see.
