Some delicious meals by everyone this week !

TWINREDHEADS- I put the turkey breast in the slow cooker on a rack or crumpled foil - add some stock to cover the bottom of the pan ( about an inch or less ; if desired rub a little oil or butter on the bird and season with favorite herbs and spices . If I want stuffing I stuff the chest cavity with stuffing - then bake the remainder in a dish 30 minutes or so before serving .
I cook at level 1 to 2 on my slow cooker until the meat thermometer shows the turkey is 155 to 160 degrees.

Baked ziti, garlic bread and green salad. I bought a frozen turkey breast from Kroger a couple of months ago. Can someone refresh my memory on how to cook one in the Crockpot?

Found some good meat deals at Food Lion yesterday: got a pork shoulder for BBQ for $6; got a smaller, pork loin roast for $4. Also, great deal on cherries and blueberries were 2/$4. Added some black plums to put all together for a pie :) Enjoy the cooler temps everyone !
