Baked ziti and salad

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

This week we are having the following:

Monday: Leftover baked ziti (thank you Jdouglas - it was amazing!), salad, garlic bread

Tuesday: BBQ chicken in the slow cooker, croissants, steamed broccoli

Wednesday: Sushi night (on sale every Wednesday at our Lowes Foods), salad

Thursday: Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings!

Friday: Leftovers!

B-Ran, Thanks!! :) I totally forgot about TJ and will be right near one tomorrow, so it will work out perfectly!

JDouglas -- are you brand loyal on frozen onions? I always buy mine at Trader Joes!

Not a menu but an idea I read today. Someone who was making a turkey breast and a ham for TG made each in individual slow cookers. The turkey did not brown, but was cooked upside down and was very moist. I thought that was kind of genius since it freed up the oven for the sides.

ybaverage2003 - your soup and muffins both sound fantastic on this chilly day! I may have to whip up a pot of soup tonight for tomorrow.

lindabates - great menu this week! Have a safe trip to your moms.

Jdouglas - I have never seen Birds Eye frozen pearl onions but now I will be looking for them. :-)

Thanks Faye! Raesmom, I will bring you your very own baked ziti any time you like. Maybe when Baby S. makes her appearance? And "she" is just my prediction. :)

We're having leftover baked ziti too.

If anyone sees Birds Eye frozen pearl onions anywhere, would you let me know please? TG requires creamed onions in our house.

Today's weather calls for soup...so, making chicken corn chowder and corn muffins. Lime cupcakes with raspberry jello filling, frosted with CoolWhip for dessert :)

Tonight we are having Leftover baked ziti (from Jdouglas and it was amazing!), salad, garlic bread.

Raesmom - yep - that's her baked ziti and it was the best I have had. Much better than mine! lol I am so glad you will not have to do a bunch of cooking this year. You definitely need to take it easy and enjoy letting others take care of it this year. Happy Gobble week to you, as well. :-)

If that pic is of jdouglas' baked ziti......im soooooo jealous!!! That looks amazing!! I brought the last of my baked ziti for lunch today. Dinner tonight will be leftover rice and beans with chicken thighs from this weekend, tomorrows dinner will be pork chops with gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies and Wednesday will be whatever we find on the road. Thursday will be Thanksgiving at a few different locations (thank goodness no cooking for me this year lol) and leftovers will most likely linger into next Monday or Tuesday.

Jdouglas I'm so sorry that happened to your water heater!! I really hope they get it all taken care of for you and very very soon!!

    Happy Gobble Gobble week :)
