Sauteed veggies

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

This week, we'll be having:

Meatless Monday: Teriyaki tofu, mushroom turnovers (from Trader Joe's), sauteed veggies (zucchini, mushrooms and onions)

Tuesday: Salsa chicken in the slow cooker wth peppers and onions served on rice

Wednesday: Veggie burgers, baked sweet potatoes, grapes (.99/lb at Food Lion through 11/10 - they are delicious)

Thursday: Chicken tacos with leftover salsa chicken

Friday: French Dip sandwiches, salad

ascherer, I'm with you about Manwiches. We had them Monday Night and they were so good, not something we have often. I love Garnertoy's meals.

I use 1 pound of ground, 2 c. uncooked regular noodles, 1 can tomatoes, 2 c. shredded cabbage, 1 c. sliced pared raw carrots, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 c. water, onion, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Shape beef in large patty in a frying pan and brown about 5 minutes on each side, then break up into small chunks. Spoon into an 8-cup baking dish. Stir in remaining ingredients; cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until noodles & veg. are tender. It makes enough for us to eat for two meals. So Good! I use egg noodles!

Nanee Lion - What all is in your Hamburger Jumble?

  • ascherer Nov 9, 2015

Okay. I know I'm late but here you go:

    Monday - Gourmet Buffet
Tuesday - Homemade chili out of the freezer
Wednesday - Pork Chops with tator tots and butter beans.
Thursday - Manwiches - I haven't been able to get them out of my mind since Garnertoy posted about them last week.
Friday - Homemade BBQ out of the freezer.

My question for the day is can someone please tell me when the monsoon season is going to finally be over?

We had a recipe called Hamburger Jumble and garlic bread. It is one of my MIL's recipes and it was so good.

LAXMom12 - love your dinner tonight! I have not had chicken pastry in a long time but it is yummy.

The Trader Joe's Mushroom Turnovers were tasty. They would be better with a bunch of sauteed mushrooms on top of them though. lol

I noticed a few of you who post almost every day are not on today. I hope everything is ok and you all had something tasty for dinner tonight. :-)
