Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the week.
Our meal plan for the week includes:
Monday: Homemade pizza with shredded BBQ chicken, onions, green peppers and spinach for the adults and veggie pizza with black olives for the kids. The pizza with the chicken was actually very good! I wanted to use up the rest of the BBQ I made in the slow cooker this weekend and this sounded good. It was! We had carrots on the side.
Shredded cheese was bought during the Harris Teeter Buy 2 Get 3 Free sale for $1.15 per 8 oz bag, Mama Mia's pizza crust was on sale at Lowes Foods with recent coupon, sauce was also on sale at HT during a previous sale, chicken was $1.99/lb, and of course the produce was all on sale this week.
Tuesday: Breakfast for dinner with Southwestern egg, cheese and veggie burritos topped with with salsa, tomatoes and avocado. Fruit salad on the side. Banana pecan bread for dessert with 3 very ripe bananas that required immediate attention. The bread in the oven right now and smells great!
Wednesday: Beef Lo Mein, egg rolls, veggie stir fry with zucchini, mushrooms, carrots and onions
Thursday: Shrimp salad served on spinach salad, rolls
Friday: Roast beef sliders, mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas, fruit (depends on what is on sale at Aldi starting Wednesday)
