Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

This week, our meals include:

Monday: Spaghetti and meatballs, garlic knots and salad

Tuesday: Frittata with eggs, turkey bacon, cheese, mushrooms, tomato, green pepper and onion, biscuits, fruit salad

Wednesday:  Fish tacos, slaw, corn

Thursday:  Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup

Friday:  Homemade veggie soup (batched cooked and frozen last week), rolls and salad (Forecast indicates the high will only be 72 degrees - soup weather!)

    Jdouglas- thanks! And on the cod... you might want to check TJ. We just bought some frozen and it was not expensive at all. I'm pretty impressed with their fish!

    Last night we had a mashed potatoes, green beans, and a steak that was supposed to go on the grill, but we couldn't get it to light, so we cooked it inside and tested our smoke alarm instead. Does anyone know who you call to fix a gas grill?

    Tonight I was hoping for some cod from HT, but it looked like it had been there for a while, so we passed. M&C and broccoli it is then.

    RFB, your dinner sounds yummy - especially the rosemary infused oil!

    Twoboysandadog- that sounds fantastic... I always wondered how to make it as well!

    And tonight we're going easy- I'm just going to pan fry up a chuck eye steak in rosemary infused oil that I found on sale at FL for my DH, plus some corn and a sweet potato. We had a big lunch... I made us a nice picnic lunch and we spent the afternoon at the Raleigh Rose Garden (beautiful!!!) so, I'll just make a salad for myself.

    Faye-your weekly menu sounds good! Esp. thos fish tacos!!!
    Tonight we are having turkey bacon wrapped grilled dove (Mr. Nichols and our 5 y/o son went dove hunting on Saturday), grilled asparagus, roasted artichokes, couscous, and green beans.

    and I like to cook my own but if you don't have time...smithfield's chicken and bbq has really tasty brunswick stew and usually buy one get one free :)

    Raesmom-
    Really very simple...
    I use two bags of frozen "soup" vegetables from any grocery store. three-four cans of tomato sauce. Extra can vegetables-usually string beans, lima beans and corn. You can always throw in a can of tomatoes if you like. 1 pint of barbeque and salt pepper, lawdrys season salt to season. Throw all in and cook on low all day.

    Twoboysandadog~How do you make Brunswick Stew?? When I worked in Durham I used to go to Hog Heaven on Guess Rd and pick some up it is AMAZING!!! I am not in Durham anymore and rarely go out there and although Hubby works there, he is in District 4 and Hog Heaven is in District 1 so it is out of his way to go get some for me and bring it home. The last time I had some was for Valentines Day right after Rae was born!! LOOOOOOONG time ago lol. If you dont mind can you please post your recipe............or I can always come over for a bowl :)

    Monday- Homemade brunswick stew in crockpot made with frozen barbeque from our church's semiannual barbeque. YUMMY :)
