Tonight is sour cream and dill pork chops with baked sweet potatoes and steamed green beans.

Tuesday is dinner our with DH's Aunt from Chicago.
Wednesday is meatloaf, oven roasted red potatoes and sauteed squash.
Thursday is whatever goes on sale on Wednesday.
    Friday is the gourmet buffet.

I learned a new trick today. I was around 7:00 getting to Kroger tonight. I just followed the meat man down the meat case as he was marking things down for quick sale. I got 3 lbs of ground for $7,50, 2+ lbs of pretty boneless pork chops for $8. Not great but better than regular prices.

I don't have much of a menu, since I like to cook out in the summer and a lot depends on the weather. I will probably have white pizza with crispy proscuitto one night since everyone's pizza sounds so good. Hopefully, a marinated London broil one night followed by a steak salad the next with the leftovers. Tonight looks like leftover potato salad, maybe a green salad, and fingers crossed -- a burger on the grill.

Coupon4me, that's really scary about your fridge. I hope the meat hasn't thawed, refrozen, and thawed again. Be careful!

Meredith, good luck on your house sale! It's a great time to be a seller right now. Inventory is very low. A clean, well-staged, well-priced home will sell in a heartbeat. If you have time, have some chocolate chip cookie dough ready to go, and bake off a sheet just before you have buyers coming through. Leave them on a nice plate with a note to help themselves and how much you enjoy cooking in your awesome kitchen. The house will smell delicious, the sugar will make the buyers happy, and they will take a few extra minutes to see what a great house you have. This is one of the things I did which helped me sell my house is a REALLY bad market in only 4 days. While you are showing the house, try not to cook that have a strong odor that folks may not like so much.

Thanks Faye! I am finally feeling completely better and can eat anything again :-)

I love the irony of the junk food at the gym. There is always a huge dish of tootsie rolls on the counter. Once a month they give away pizza for supper and one morning a month it's free bagels and cream cheese. My theory is they serve junk food to make sure people have to keep coming back to the gym ;-) Luckily since we don't over indulge we get to take advantage of their free food without it undoing all our workouts!

meredith88 - Good luck with selling you house! Your menu looks great and I am so glad you are feeling better. And why are they serving pizza at the gym instead of salads and grilled chicken?? LOL

Our week is up in the air. Our house went on the market Friday and we were kicked out of it half the weekend for showings. So we have a menu for the week but also are prepared to have to eat out (with coupons!) any night we can't get in the house to cook dinner.

Tonight is easy. Pizza night at the gym! First Monday of every month. So we'll eat pizza and then work out while our house is being shown.

Tuesday is foil packet dinners on the grill. Steak, potatoes, squash, zucchini, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Grilled peaches for dessert.

Wednesday is traditional ramen with shrimp and mixed veggies.

Thursday I think I'll cook myself the omelette I've been craving all week.

Friday we are having Frito pie. We assembled it last night so we just have to pop it in the oven for 30 minutes and it's done.

Saturday we'll grill pork chops, potatoes and corn on the cob.

We have coupons for free/BOGO meals at about a half dozen restaurants as well... just in case :-)

coupon4me - sad news on the fridge but at least you caught it in time to save the food.

Our outside fridge is going :(. Discovered some cold but thawed beef cubes and frozen stir fried veggies that were no longer frozen.... So I made a stir fry last night with some teriyaki sauce. So we will have that with brown rice. Easy already made dinner for us tonight!
