Roasted asparagus

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening or the week, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like.

If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

For dinners this week we are having:

Monday - Baked salmon, roasted asparagus (both from Lowes Foods weekend sale), crescent rolls

Tuesday - Pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches, side salad

Wednesday - Cajun shrimp on green salad with lots of veggies, croutons, craisins, parm

Thursday - Chicken and spinach quesadillas, corn

Friday - Pizza Night! Make your own mini pizzas using single serve crusts from Kroger ($2.19 per 3-pack) and choice of toppings. I'll have spinach, mushrooms and onions on mine with marinara, mozzarella, and parm.

    Oh my! Fabulous meals tonight and throughout the week from all of you! I'm heading out now for the caravan rounds. If you hear a knock at the door you know who it is. 😀

    Twin redheads - your ode d'ham menu this week has enough delicious variety that I doubt you'll hear any grumbling from your crew.

    Aturner- I could eat thanksgiving redo every week! I love turkey and stuffing.

    EM2S - I adore the way you describe your meals in such descriptive detail. Makes my mouth water every time. And the spreads you offer rival a cruise ship buffet! I vote that caravan starts at your house this evening.

    Jdouglas - I do love the aroma of chicken soup on the stove. Always takes me back to my childhood.

    Linda bates - I need to look up the slow cooker chicken pot pie recipe on your meal plan this week. That sounds like a keeper!

    Crockpot hashbrown casserole. It's all about ham recipes this week as we hardly made a dent in the 10 pounder I baked yesterday. At some point there will be 15 bean soup, hot ham sandwiches, Cuban black beans and rice, chef salads and straight ham, potatoes and rolls. I might throw in a fish meal on Wednesday or Thursday to break up the monotony :)

    Monday- Redo T'giving (turkey breast got it on sale and used a coupon for bake in bag from last T'giving)
    Tuesday-boys eating at inlaws
    Wednesday- Turkey salad on bed of greens and veggies.
    Thursday- taco night; using leftover beans and chili meat from past weekend.
    Friday- either pizza night or leftovers-whatever I am in the mood for...LOL!

    Faye - The asparagus picture is gorgeous - and partnered with fresh salmon ... totally scrumptious!!

    LindaBates - Your house will be filled with delicious aromas all week!

    You've got that right, JDouglas13, caravan in motion!! ... and your carbonara will be delectably perfect to chase away the chill of the day :)

    Our meal tonight is a savory-herb-seasoned stew from leftovers including cubed pork lion (FL New Year's deal) from the freezer, peeled and diced baked sweet potatoes (Aldi past deal) and red lentils (FL markdown) over Minute Multi-Grain Medley (HT past super doubles) sauteed in sweet onion slivers, maple-mango-walnut-oat muffins, red grapes (FL 99c/lb) and hot beverage bar.

    Looks like the caravan will be busy this week!

    I have a pot of chicken stock-in-progress on the stove right now. It will probably become chicken barley soup tomorrow night. I like to skim off the layer of fat from the broth once it's chilled.

    I was able to get some asparagus at Lowe's 3-day sale, so tonight is going to be pasta carbonara with bacon and asparagus in it.

    Tonight: grilled pork chops, rice, corn and biscuits
    Tuesday: baked spaghettI and salad
    Wednesday: crockpot chicken pot pie
    Thursday: Soup and sandwich
    Friday: leftovers
