Losltp-yes on the long as its decaffeinated (so the doctors suggest) mom us doing really good. My sister and brother in-laws went by yesterday and built her a wheelchair ramp so she is really loving that. Grama is better. She I walking and eating now and decided to move to buffalo :) Its going to be rough selling ger house out there and getting her things to buffalo but with time I'm sure we can get it done. Thanks for asking. As far as my appetite goes, its getting there. I'll be 3 months along on August 10th so thats the start of the 2nd trimester which is supposed to be the easiest.....we shall see.

Jdouglas-my spaghetti with meatballs turned into your spaghetti with meat sauce.....the meat wasn't defrosted by the time I got here and I was a bit lazy to roll them up lol maybe next time. I did make the homemade sauce though.

Cant wait to tear into some baked ziti again!! :)

jdouglas - NO, NO NO on the raw potato peelings !!
They are TOXIC to dogs !!!!
My vet told me - here is one quick link I found .

ha-ha the dog eats more veggies than your DW !!

Delaney, do try the Progresso cream of mushroom soup. Thanks to Faye for that recommendation. I've tried the Campbells, and it was so salty that it was inedible.

Losltp -- the Naughty Princess is not fussy about her green beans LOL. She gladly eats whatever her Mamas can find on sale. Usually store brand ones that we defrost first. She also likes pretty much any raw veg I'll give her including, most recently, some potato peels that I dropped on the floor. I'll have to check out the FL near me and see if they have green beans. Great price!

Granoftwenty, what a smart idea to freeze your veg scraps for stock. I'll have to remember that.

Raesmom, I was just thinking about you and wondering how your Grama is doing. You and I are on the same page tonight with spaghetti and meat sauce. Mine might morph into baked ziti since I remembered a open container of ricotta cheese I should use up. The salad will have to wait until tomorrow. I'm too lazy to go out today.

Raesmom - COME ON ! Some iced tea with our feet up sounds perfect !
What's the latest on your grandmother ? and MOM ??
Is your appetite picking back up yet ?? I wish I could make you some "comfort food" .
I saw a Baked Ziti done in the slow cooker the other day on TV - I do not know what show but it looked good and reminded me of the Baked Ziti fan club here LOL

losltp- Please be careful and best wishes on the test results ! It sure is nice to have foods on hand . Thank You for teh corn cob idea I will be trying it next time I cut off corn ( maybe today - got some good ears at Food Lion ) - I keep a bag of veggie scarps in the freezer for stock - when I have chicken bones or such I make a batch .
As alsays all the melas sound great and give me ideas for the week ; The spaghetti sounds good since i have canned sauce I made a few weeks ago but the cheeseburgers ( and tater tots ) are speaking to me as well ....

losltp - I hope you get good results on the biopsy's. You are in my thoughts. And the meals your DH made all sound great.

delaneymoney - I usually cook London broil in the slow cooker. I season it with McCormick's Montreal Steak seasoning, pepper and garlic powder and add a couple cups of beef broth. Once it is cooked, I often add a mixture of flour and sour cream to thicken it or a can of cream of mushroom soup. I let it cook another 30 minutes on high to thicken.

Thanks for sharing your meal plans everyone!
