Garlic shrimp on salad

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening or week, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

On the menu at my house this week, you will find:

Monday: Chicken and cheese quesadillas with chicken made in the slow cooker (too hot to use the oven!) Sides of sauteed zucchini and onion (which tastes great in the quesadilla!) as well as corn and watermelon (watermelon $4.87 at Walmart on Sunday).

Tuesday: Turkey sandwiches on bollilo rolls, pasta salad with veggies and watermelon (still too hot to run the oven!)

Wednesday: Garlic shrimp on a green salad, garlic bread with some extra garlic on the side......

Thursday: Veggie pizza, steamed carrots, orange slices (very busy night so needed something easy)

Friday: Beef roast in the slow cooker with mushrooms, onions, carrots and potatoes. Rolls on the side.

    Faye- your chicken sounds delicious... and loved your photo today, too!! :-)

    Raesmom- I'm so glad you get to see your Mom!!!!

    And we switched it up! DH got home at 2- YAY! So, we're grilling hamburgers and corn instead. It's beautiful out today.

    Thanks Faye and jdouglas! Im so excited to see her and all the progress she has made. It will be nice to hang out with my sisters too. They didnt get to see Rae (with all that mom was going through Rae was and still is not allowed to go to the hospital) last time we were home, but now that mom is awake and a lot better she will get to hang out with her cousins and aunts.

    jdouglas (and everyone else who has been through a lot with family this year) we need a vacation after they all get better!!!! Myrtle Beach is missing me right about now lol

    Thanks Faye mom is actually doing well. They just took her off of the ventilator today!!! She still has a long way to go, but I promised that we would come home anytime I had a holiday weekend come up so this is the first one since being admitted in March. Cant wait to see everyone!!

    raesmom1612 - YES to garlic everything! I added extra garlic to the chicken in the slow cooker for dinner tonight! I hope everything is ok with your mom since you are headed back home. Keeping you all in my thoughts.

    thrift - thanks! My meal photos are not remotely as pretty as RFB's, so I appreciate it. :-) That's a skill I really need to work on someday.....

    Tonight will be whole wheat penne with a Florentine pasta sauce along with a romaine salad for Meatless Monday. I'm thinking salmon for tomorrow night and haven't thought past that.

    Tonight will be sweet and sour chicken with brown rice and egg rolls. Haven't gone much further into planning for the rest of the week...

    Lindabates- those ranch tacos sound amazing... and easy!

    And I'm now craving enchiladas :-)

    Tonight I'm roasting up some pork tenderloin that I got on sale at HT with Dijon mustard and dried thyme. And on the side, steamed broccoli from the farmer's market, and some baby potatoes.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE the salad Faye!!! Anything full of garlic ALWAYS works for me :)

    NOT sure if I will be able to stick to this menu (DH starts a new position at work, which includes a schedule change) and Rae and I will be heading up to Buffalo on Friday but here is the menu:

    Mon - Spaghetti

    Tues - BBQ ribs potato salad baked beans and biscuits

    Wed - creamy chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies

    Thursday - possibly baked ziti so that it will last DH through the weekend or burgers....not sure yet.

    Friday - whatever we find on the road
