Garlic shrimp on salad

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight?

Our menu this week includes:

Monday - Baked Ziti with veggies, garlic bread, steamed broccoli, watermelon (price matched the $3.77 watermelon price from Kroger at Walmart, since I was not going to be near a Kroger)

Tuesday - London broil in the slow cooker coated with lots of McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning, pepper, garlic powder and cooked in a little beef broth on a bed of onions.  Sides of green salad and roasted rosemary red potatoes.

Wednesday - Shrimp salad served on a green salad, Sister Shubert Sweet Hawaiian rolls

Thursday - Italian chicken cooked in the slow cooker, Mahatma rice, sauteed zucchini, mushrooms and onions.

Friday - Light Hebrew National beef hotdogs on the grill, pasta salad, watermelon and some kind of holiday themed red, white and blue dessert (haven't decided what yet)

raesmom1612 - so sorry about your air conditioner. I hope it is back up and running by now.

    Everyone's dinner sound great!

I have amended tonight's dinner per the request of the older teen. She really wants spaghetti and meatballs so I picked up some meatballs (sale with coupon, of course) at HT today and that's what we are having. Well - they are having the meatballs, not me. :-) Sides of broccoli, watermelon and garlic bread.

Tonight is baby back ribs that we cooked on the grill a few weeks back and froze. Sides of rolls and salad.

    Tacos and rice/beans.

Use to eat Turkey Bacon all the time when the kids where little. Now my daughters tried real pork bacon and won't touch turkey bacon.

Faye & jdouglas... Mmmm bacon! I need to try turkey bacon :-)

And tonight we're doing what we were supposed to do last night- the enchilada skillet. I've decided I'm NOT planning Sunday dinners any more, as we're always too full from lunch. Guess it goes back to when I was a kid and we'd have our main Sunday meal of the day at lunch :-)

Raesmom- hope your AC gets fixed soon!

Faye, the pic of your shrimp salad looks great. Did you put turkey bacon in it?

Yum - pasta. I think that's what we're having too. Just now sure exactly how yet.

Free Eckrich smoked turkey sausage from HT Super Doubles. Will sauté with onions and peppers and serve over rice.
