Interactive table – The Secret World Inside You features a 14-foot projection of a woman’s body as part of an interactive table that highlights ways that microbes impact human health. Visitors can zoom in on 17 animated microbial scenes, from the Streptococcus bacteria that cause plaque on teeth, to the bacteria that break down the crystals that cause kidney stones, to the first big dose of bacteria babies get when they exit through the birth canal.

We're taking a little bit of a break this Thanksgiving weekend here at Go Ask Mom, but if you're looking for things to do with the family, check our post earlier this week listing 20 ideas.

And here are the holiday hours for popular Triangle destinations ... really, it's pretty simple:

All state museums, Kidzu Children's Museum, Marbles Kids Museum and the Museum of Life and Science are closed on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. (Marbles' IMAX theater is open Thursday with "Fantastic Beasts 2D").

They reopen Friday and operate on normal schedules. That includes Morehead Planetarium and Science Center in Chapel Hill, which offers a full slate of planetarium shows and more on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Happy Thanksgiving!
