Most families will be celebrating Christmas around here this weekend. So, this week, our weekly Weekend Plans post will be short and sweet.

And here are the holiday hours for popular family destinations:

Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh is closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dec. 31, and noon to 5 p.m., Jan. 1. Marbles' IMAX theater has showtimes of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi 3D" daily.
The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences and the N.C. Museum of History in downtown Raleigh will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The Museum of Life and Science in Durham closes at 3 p.m., Dec. 24, and is closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. It is open on Dec. 31.
The N.C. Museum of Art in Raleigh will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 26.
Morehead Planetarium and Science Center in Chapel Hill is closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. It hosts a family New Year's Eve event on Dec. 31.
Kidzu Children's Museum in Chapel Hill is closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
And the N.C. Zoo in Asheboro, about 90 minutes from Raleigh, is open year round except on Dec. 25.
