RALEIGH, N.C. — Our best bets this weekend include outdoor screenings of Moana, Willie Nelson, several music festivals, shopping markets, a beer and food event at Trophy and more.

Festivals and fun

Raleigh SuperCon - Fans of pop culture, superheroes, science fiction, anime, cartoons, video games and more will love this event at the Raleigh Convention Center this weekend. Ghostbuster's star Ernie Hudson, The Walking Dead's Michael Rooker, Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Emma Caulfield and Star Trek's LeVar Burton are among this year's guests.
The Great SuperCon Costume Crawl - Meet at Coglin's in downtown Raleigh at 6 p.m. then embark on a photo-worthy costumed bar crawl through the city. Drinks, food and the chance to wine cash prizes are included with registration.
Hoopla: Party in the Park - The North Carolina Museum of Art hosts this party Friday night complete with fire dancers, ukulele music, food trucks and more. Following the party, there will be a screening of the film "Moana." Tickets are needed for the screening but not the party.
Sunday in the Park - The Raleigh Jazz Orchestra will headline this free concert at Dorothea Dix Park's Harvey Hill. There will also be food trucks there.
House of Hops 3 Year Anniversary Party - The bottle shop will celebrate its birthday with food trucks, a photo booth, special beer releases and ice cream on Saturday.

Willie Nelson - With a six-decade career and 200 plus albums, this iconic Texan continues to wow crowds. See him at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary Friday night with special guest Brooke Hatala.
Tedeschi Trucks Band - The blues rock group will bring its "Wheels of Soul" tour to Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh Friday night.
Beach Party - Dance to the best in Carolina beach music performed by local legends North Tower Band and Jackie Gore at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary Saturday night.

Brian Posehn - You might recognize this multi-talented writer, actor and comedian from "The Sarah Silverman Program" and "The Big Bang Theory." He is also the co-writer for Marvel's "Deadpool" and hosts "Nerd Poker," a podcast where fellow comedians play Dungeons and Dragons. See him at Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh Thursday through Saturday.

Pop-Up Raleigh - Downtown Raleigh's original monthly art and vintage market is Saturday at Trophy Brewing on Maywood Avenue. Admission is free.
Catsino Royale - Don't miss SAFE Haven for Cats' fifth annual fundraiser Friday night at Lincoln Brewing & Distilling in Raleigh. There will be casino games, a silent auction and cat bingo.
