Fun at the breweries

Patchwork Market- This monthly market features local makers and vintage vendors. Check it out Saturday at Fullsteam Brewery in Durham.

Pints and Poses Yoga at Raleigh Brewing - Bring your map and your dog and enjoy some yoga Sunday morning. Admission is $10.
Puppies and Pilates!


Puppies and Pilates - Triangle Rock Club in north Raleigh will host this event on Saturday afternoon. Only rescue dogs will be at this event, no personal dogs are allowed. Tickets are $10 for members and $19 for nonmembers, and 100 percent of ticket sales is donated to Carolina Adopt-A-Bulls.

Battle of the Blues

Belly Up! UNC vs. Duke - The Cookery will be showing the UNC-Duke game on the giant big screen on Saturday. There will also be food, wine and cocktails for purchase. Admission is free.

Blue Blood Rivalry 5K - Here's your chance to celebrate, support, and participate in the rivalry like never before. Declare your allegiance and receive your race shirt in either Duke Blue or Carolina Blue. Run, walk, or yes, dribble the 5K course and receive the first edition finisher's Blue Blood medallion bottle opener. The basketball dribble 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K starts at 8:35 a.m. at American Tobacco Campus in Durham on Saturday.

Family fun

Durham Bulls Fan Fest - Get ready for the upcoming Bulls' season on Saturday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The free event provides fans a chance to take batting practice on the field, purchase single-game tickets for the 2018 season and take photos with the team’s 2017 Triple-A National Championship and Governors’ Cup trophies. Additionally, National Anthem auditions will take place prior to Fan Fest.
Behind the Scenes with the Durham Bulls


Kite Festival - Head to Bond Park in Cary for this annual Kite Festival on Saturday. There will be a free kite flying contest, live music and concessions. Admission is free.

Theatre, live music and movies

No Scratches Vinyl Movie Party - Party down with a Merge Records vinyl sale, grab a bite from Pie Pushers Pizza, create with Durham artist Tedd Anderson and jam on with celebrity Merge DJ and label co-founder Laura Ballance of Superchunk at the North Carolina Museum of Art on Friday. There will also be a screening of the film High Fidelity at 9 pm. Seating is limited so buy tickets in advance.
'Phantom of the Opera' symbol


The Phantom of the Opera - The Broadway classic is playing Durham Performing Arts Center through March 11. The show boasts new set designs and many special effects, in addition to its iconic music.

A$AP Ferg - The Harlem rapper brings his Mad man Tour to the Ritz on Sunday.

Molly Tuttle Band - Influenced by the songwriting styles of Gillian Welch and Bob Dylan, Molly Tuttle is a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist and award winning songwriter with a distinctive voice. She will play Fletcher Opera Theatre in Raleigh Friday night.


Kaki King - The composer and guitarist plays The ArtsCenter in Carrboro Friday.

Gregory Porter - Porter has played to sold-out houses at Duke Performances twice in recent years, moving into ever-grander venues as his fame grows. The singer-songwriter plays Carolina Theatre of Durham Sunday.

Nee Ningy Band Album Release - Nee Ningy presents an uncommon blend of American and European trad tunes from blues, southern old time, and Cajun to Swedish walking music, Scottish reels, and the French bourree. Check out their album release show on Friday night at The Bullpen in Durham.
Assassins - Theatre in the Park presents this darkly humorous Tony award winning musical by Stephen Sondheim which explores the history of presidential assassination in America, from John Wilkes Booth to John Hinckley, Jr. The show runs through early March.
