Plenty of festivals, live music and foodie fun this weekend in the Triangle.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A lot going on this weekend in the Triangle. Here are our picks:

Festivals:

Groove in the Garden - Food trucks, vendors and lots of live music highlight this day-long festival held at Stephenson Amphitheater and Rose Garden in Raleigh. Events are Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. The Love Language is among the headliners. The event is all-ages and tickets are $10.
Packapalooza - Rapsody and 9th Wonder headline this year's event on Hillsborough Street. The N.C. State celebration is free and open to the public. Events start at 2 p.m. and run through 10 p.m.
Cary Lazy Daze - This arts and crafts festival is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in downtown Cary. Vendors, music and a children's zone all highlight this annual free event.
CaribMask Carnival - A celebration of Caribbean culture, music and food will happen Saturday starting at noon on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. The event is free and open to the public.
Slide Fest - Another slipping and sliding event in the Triangle is happening Sunday. Slide Fest will include food trucks, music and more from noon to 6 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Advance tickets start at $10. UPDATE: This event has been canceled.
Love South Durham Festival - South Durham Church will hold this community event Sunday at Pearsontown Elementary School in Durham. From noon to 3 p.m., there will be free food and activities for kids including bounce houses, face painting, and organized games. While the event is free and open to the public, attendees are encouraged to bring school supplies to benefit Pearsontown Elementary School and Southwest Elementary School.
Back 2 School Fun at Lafayette Village - This family friendly festival will feature bounce houses and face painting. School supplies and clothing will be distributed. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Most Amazing Race - The Salvation Army holds this annual event on Saturday. Teams raised $250 or more in order to participate in mental and physical challenges at locations all over downtown Raleigh. The winning team will get a grand prize of $2,500. The race is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at locations throughout the city.

For the Foodies:

Wake County Science and Brewers Expo - More than a dozen brewers will be on hand for this event Friday night at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. Learn about fermentation, flavors and the future of beer, and take home a free commemorative glass. There will also be sampling. Tickets are $30 for non-museum members.
Fried Chicken and Bubbles - Rx and Picnic Durham are teaming up for this event Friday night at the Rx Wine Lab location in Golden Belt Arts in Durham. Chefs will be frying up some chicken, while Rx will be pouring an assortment of delicious bubbly wines from around the globe. Only 50 orders of fried chicken will be available. Fried chicken platters are $15 per person and wine is $10 by the glass.
North Cooks South - Midtown Grille in Raleigh will host this nine-course dinner on Sunday to benefit the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C. Tickets are $150 and 100 are being sold.

Live Music:

Breaking Benjamin - The rock band plays The Ritz Friday night. Tickets are $53.
Gladys Knight and the O'Jays - A great night of music at DPAC Sunday featuring these iconic performers. Tickets start at $69.
O.A.R. - The band plays Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh Sunday night. Tickets start at $25.
Beach Night in Wake Forest - Enjoy some beach music on White Street in downtown Wake Forest from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. This free concert is headlined by Jim Quick and the Coastline Band.

Comedy:

Wendy Williams - The talk show host and personality will be at DPAC Friday night. Tickets start at $63.
Steve-O - The "Jackass" star and stunt man will play Goodnights Comedy Club Thursday through Saturday.
John Heffron - The "Last Comic Standing" winner plays Goodnights Comedy Club Sunday night.
