Weekend best bets: Destination Dix, Gwen Stefani

RALEIGH, N.C. — There is plenty going on this weekend. Here are our picks.

Destination Dix - Chatham Co. Line, a Raleigh-based bluegrass band, will headline the main music stage at this festival at Dorothea Dix Campus on Saturday. There will also be a Ferris wheel, tethered balloon rides, a beer garden and food trucks. WRAL is a proud sponsor.

Jingle in July - Food trucks, live music and more highlight the Capital City Clauses' annual event Saturday night at City Limits Saloon in downtown Raleigh. Tickets are $10 at the door and proceeds go to purchase school supplies for children in Wake County.

NeighBREWhood Party - Raleigh Brewing and Atlantic Brew Supply hosts this celebration of craft beer on Saturday starting at noon. There will be live music, food trucks, beer ice cream and the release of Raleigh Brewing's bluegrass seasonal Dear Ol' Dixie Pale Ale.

The Dude Abides Party - The North Carolina Museum of Art hosts its very own version of Lebowski Fest, celebrating the Dude. The event is Saturday and will include a food truck rodeo, White Russians to drink and other things the Dude would love. Tickets are $6 for non-museum members.

Gwen Stefani - The singer's "This is What the Truth Feels Like" tour hits Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek Sunday night. She will be joined by Eve.

Kool and the Gang - The band's "Keepin' the Funk Alive" tour featuring Bootsy Collins, Morris Day and the Time and Doug E. Fresh plays Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek Saturday night.

Greg Allman and Peter Frampton - See them Friday night at Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh.

311 with Matisyahu - The bands brings its Unity tour to Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh Sunday night.

Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle - As Colvin & Earle, longtime friends and admirers Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle have united to record their self-titled debut, a true standout in careers already filled with pinnacles and masterpieces. See them Sunday at Meymandi Concert Hall in downtown Raleigh.

Wheels of Soul tour - Tedeschi Trucks Band brings their wildly praised Wheels of Soul tour to Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary Sunday. Also on the bill, Los Lobos and North Mississippi Allstars.

Dierks Bentley - The country singer brings his "Somewhere on a Beach" tour to Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek on Friday.

Digable Planets - The alternative hip-hop trio has reunited. You can see them at Cat's Cradle Sunday night.

Gtopia - Lukas Graham, Ben Rector and Jordan Fisher play The Ritz on Friday night.

Company Wang Ramirez - This dance company is known for its emotional and powerful blend of contemporary and hip hop. See them Friday and Saturday at DPAC.

Bat Boy: The Musical - Raleigh Little Theatre's production continues this weekend. The story follows a half-boy/half-bat creature is discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia.

Competition Dining - The Raleigh-based battles of this Iron Chef-like like cooking challenge comes to a close Sunday night. The winning team will be crowned. Tickets are $69.

Movies in the Garden - Raleigh Little Theatre's outdoor movie series continues with a screening of "The Peanuts Movie" on Sunday night.
