RALEIGH, N.C. — Festivals, markets and a Tony Award-winning musical are all on our list for fun this weekend!

Arts

Nov. 1-6: Celebrity Artist Alexandra Nechita Exhibit - LaMantia Gallery, Raleigh’s premier fine art gallery, is proud to announce its presentation of the ground-breaking exhibition “Alexandra Nechita: Setting the Stage." This extraordinary collection of new works including magnificent sculpture by renowned celebrity & visual artist Alexandra Nechita will be on exhibition and available for acquisition at the gallery in its’ limited engagement through Sun., Nov. 6, 2022.
Nov. 1-6: Dear Evan Hansen - A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. This show centers on Evan Hansen, who just wants to fit in. See it on stage at DPAC through Nov. 6.
Nov. 5: Fall Arts Fair - Get an early start on your holiday shopping on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fred Fletcher Park. The fair will feature over 50 local artist vendors working in various mediums. The family-friendly event include live music, food trucks, and hands-on arts activities and demonstrations led by arts center teaching artists.
Nov. 5: A Concert of Canceled Music - This all-classical concert will feature masterworks which have either been suppressed or put under threat due to social, political, or other non-musical controversies attached to them. Prepare to be surprised during the show Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at Riverside High School in Durham.

Festivals

Nov. 5: 94th Annual Wendell Harvest Festival - This annual event was rescheduled from October. It will include a parade, inflatables, performances and food trucks.
Nov. 5-6: The International Festival 2022 - Celebrate a variety of international holidays during this event at the N.C. State Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a holiday market, performances and food.
Nov. 5-6: 18th Annual North Carolina Whirligig Festival - The NC Whirligig Festival is a family-friendly weekend of artisans, music, food, and Whirligigs. Admission is free. The Festival showcases arts of the region, including the giant Whirligigs created by local artist, Vollis Simpson. It is a two-day community celebration in Historic Downtown Wilson of people and art in motion.

Shopping

Nov. 4-6: DECO Raleigh's 10-Year Anniversary Celebration - The shop on Salisbury St. is celebrating their 10-year anniversary, Nov. 4-6, with sales, music, refreshments, giveaways and some surprises, too—stop in and say hello and get going on your holiday shopping!
Nov. 4: First Friday Markets and Movie Night at Moore Square - Shop and stick around for a screening of "Homeward Bound."
Nov. 4: Garner Night Market - Showcasing Garner's creativity in an open air, free downtown night market. Find locally-made goods and enjoy a night filled with music and entertainment with Garner area artisans, food, and drinks from 5 to 9 p.m.
Nov. 4: Startup Holiday Market - Raleigh Founded will host this Holiday Market on Friday, Nov. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. The space will be filled with local startups, pop-up shops, and vendors to ring in the holiday season.
Nov. 5: MAKRS @ Golden Belt - Markets at Golden Belt Campus will be held on the 1st Saturday of each month with a new batch of vendors. Join in for live music, food, and drinks as you shop from more than 40 local vendors!

Running

Nov. 6: City of Oaks Marathon - The 15th annual City of Oaks Marathon is returning on Nov. 6. The race will include a children's run, 5K, 10K, half marathon and full marathon
