RALEIGH, N.C. — You don't have to go to the beach this weekend to have fun. There is a lot happening in the Triangle!

WRAL Freedom Balloon Fest - The annual hot air balloon festival is back and in a new location - Fuquay-Varina's Fleming Loop Park. Each day, there will be balloon competitions in the morning, bands and rides at the park during the day. At sunset there will be mass ascensions of balloons, followed by glows. Admission is free, but parking is $10 per car. There is also a fee to ride the shuttle form the parking lot - $5 for adults and $3 for children. You should also bring money for food and drink.
PNC Downtown Raleigh Movie Series - This free outdoor series returns to City Plaza for its third season Friday night with "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark."
Fine Friday Wine Walk - Waverly Place in Cary invites patrons to sip and stroll through shops on Friday night. Each store will have tastings featuring wines under $20 per bottle. It all ends with music on the promenade. A $10 donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund gets you a sample glass.
Six Sundays in Spring - Head to E. Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest for this free, outdoor concert on Sunday starting at 5 p.m.
Cardinal Directions Beerfest - Food trucks and more than 20 North Carolina breweries will be on hand Sunday at Carrboro Town Commons for this event. Tickets are $20.
Rhapsody in Red, White and Blue: An American Celebration - Enjoy music by George Gershwin, Aaron Copland, John Williams, John Philip Sousa and other American music icons, along with a patriotic salute to Veterans on this Memorial Day weekend at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Sunday. General admission tickets are $16 for adults. Children ages 12 years and younger get in for free.
ACC Fan Fest - The ACC men's baseball tournament is happening this weekend at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham and there are some free family events you can check out nearby. There will be an alumni village with activities at American Tobacco Campus through Saturday. And on Saturday and Sunday, the ACC Fan Fest will feature food trucks, an inflatable obstacle course and more fun.

If/Then - The contemporary Broadway musical about living in New York today and all of the possibilities of tomorrow plays DPAC through Sunday. It features original Broadway cast members Anthony Rapp and Jackie Burns, alongside Tamrya Gray and Matthew Hydzik.
Animazement 2015
Animazement - This annual festival that celebrates anime and Japan is Thursday through Sunday at the Raleigh Convention Center.
Nappy Roots - One of the best-selling and most successful hip hop groups of all time, Nappy Roots, will be playing The Pinhook in Durham on Sunday night.
