On stage

Bull City Records Anniversary - Help Bull City Records celebrate 11 years in business with a festival this weekend. It all kicks off Friday night at The Pinhook and then Saturday at Ponysaurus Brewing with Superchunk headlining.
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons - See them perform at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on Sunday. Tickets start at $50.
Carolina Music Awards - Some of the best artists in the Carolinas will be honored on Saturday during this ceremony at Fletcher Opera Theatre. Tickets start at $27.
Carnival of Madness - This hard rock concert tour features Shinedown, Halestorm and Black Stone Cherry at Red Hat Amphitheater on Saturday.
The Mads are Back - Mystery Science Theater 3000 stars Trace Beaulieu and Frank Conniff are taking movie riffing back onstage in their new live show: The Mads Are Back. The show hits Carolina Theatre of Durham on Friday night.

Crank Arm Anniversary - The Raleigh brewery will be celebrating on Saturday with rare beers, live music and food trucks.
Durham Food Tour with Bites of Bull City - Our friends over at the Bites of Bull City blog are taking folks on a tour of some of their favorite spots on 9th Street in Durham on Saturday. Tickets are $30.
