Gov. Pat McCrory signed four bills into law, including one to prohibit the state from expanding its Medicaid program under the federal Affordable Care Act. The others would allow the New Year's Eve Possum Drop to continue in western North Carolina, provide money to group homes that face the loss of some funding under Medicaid rules changes and increase the penalties for people who protest at funerals.
