Website offers micro-scholarships for college
Raise.Me awards micro-scholarships of up to $1,000 based on good grades, sports awards and volunteer work.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A start-up website is matching students who need college money with people willing to give to the cause.
Raise.Me awards micro-scholarships of up to $1,000 based on good grades, sports awards and volunteer work. Once students plug in their grades, the site calculates the award money.
But the student doesn't get a check in the mail. The money is sent in their financial package to the school once they are admitted to college.
