Storms bring rain, wind, damage
Some parts of the Triangle saw severe weather Saturday evening as a line of storms moved across the state. The system tracked through at almost 50 mph, bringing high winds, lightning and heavy, local downpours.

"When I got here, I saw the tree right in the middle of the house. It's Murphy's Law, I guess," one of the home's residents said. No one was home during the storm, and no one was hurt.
Duke Energy said about 250 customers were without power for part of the evening.
A cluster of storms stalled over north Raleigh at about 7:30 p.m. and thousands of Progress Energy customers were briefly without power, including shoppers at Crabtree Valley Mall who were left in the dark for about half an hour.
Sunday will be partly cloudy and muggy with a chance of rain in the morning, WRAL meteorologist Kim Deaner said.
High temperatures and humid mornings are on tap through the week. Each day brings a slight chance for afternoon showers or storms. Some areas could see a few stormy days, others stay bone dry, Deaner said.
