RALEIGH, N.C. — Clouds and humidity are here to stay this week in the Triangle, WRAL meteorologist Kim Deaner said.

Starting Sunday, there is a chance of storms each afternoon through Tuesday. Any one of those storms could pop up and become severe, Deaner said.

Overall, the rain will be spotty and some areas may not get any precipitation. But the cloud cover will dominate through the work week, keeping a cap on temperatures. The mid-day highs will be in the 70s, but the afternoons will be sticky with humidity at greater than 60 percent.
