30 years ago my oldest son was about 14 years old. He watched your forecast all the time and you inspired him. He ended up being a meteorologist for the US Weather Service.

We lost him 8 1/2 years ago and when I see you it brings back good memories. He was a valuable asset and admired co-worker at the weather service and to his community and you played a part in his fervor for the weather.

You surely have inspired many kids through the 30 years you have been with WRAL – you should be proud as we are thankful to have had you.
