In 1981, I was station manager at WRAL-TV. I think it was January or February 1981, just after you joined us. You predicted snow that day. I saw you, nervously checking outside frequently to see if it was snowing. No Doppler Radar in those days.
Finally, around 3:30 p.m. that afternoon it began to snow. You were a happy camper and that famous O-Fishel smile lit up Western Blvd.
Congratulations on a legendary career with, hopefully, many more years to come. You are the BEST.
